Responsibilities

- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to assist students in discovering their aptitudes, interests, values, and natural strengths using career assessments

- Guide students in creating fully customized career action plans tailored precisely to their unique skills, experiences, credentials, and short and long-term professional goals

- Assist students with optimizing and enhancing their personal brand assets, including resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, online portfolios, and elevator pitches to help them stand out to recruiters and hiring managers

- Equip students with job and internship search strategies and provide expert advice to help them expand their professional networks, ace interviews, evaluate job offers, negotiate salaries and compensation, and make confident career-related decisions

- Build strong collaborative relationships with career services staff, professors, and alumni to remain updated on the latest trends and share internship and job opportunities that arise

- Closely track individual student progress and milestones achieved and collect detailed feedback data on the impact of coaching to showcase results

Requirements

- Minimum bachelor’s degree required

- 3+ years of proven hands-on experience in career coaching, college recruiting, or a strongly related field

- Deep expertise and knowledge of best and emerging practices in undergraduate career development, particularly the use of AI for students in their career launch

- Demonstrated excellence in one-on-one counseling, coaching, and strategic relationship-building abilities

- Strong knowledge of professional skills, including resume & cover letter writing, interviewing, and communicating professionally

- Experience outside of coaching, in positions that include market/field experience working in an entry or supervisory role

- Outstanding ability to understand, empathize with, and a desire to support people of diverse backgrounds

- Proficient with Google workspace (Google sheets, docs, etc) and project management tools

- Superior written and verbal communication skills, along with active listening and presentation skills

Salary and Benefits

$50-$75 an hour based on experience (approximately 20 hours a week)
